November's Gems

Hey guys!

Another month over, another time for monthly favourites. I really like to hear about people's favourite things so I will try to make this a regular topic on here, too.

The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge should originally have been mentioned in last month's favourites already, but to be honest, I forgot it. Since I (finally) got one of them, my makeup game changed, I now apply my foundation with this tool every single day without exception. The coverage is light, definitely not the ideal tool for full coverage in my opinion, but if you have a full coverage concealer for the under eye area, any blemishes or wherever you would apply your concealer, it's the perfect choice! I think, it's absolutely impossible to look cakey when using this. I have bought three drugstore beauty sponges in the past and I didn't think I would but I have to say, there is a definite difference. This RT one is way softer and bouncier than the others and apply the product way better. Big love!

Next thing, a book. Face by Pixiwoo. Oh, Pixiwoo again, you may say, and yes, I'm simply in love with everything these gorgeous ladies create. Highly recommend this guide book including application techniques, recommendations, skin type guidance and much more (skincare and makeup related). *Insert heart eye emoji*

The next item is not even officially mine yet, as it is a Christmas present from my parents but I went out shopping with my mother, saw it and liked it lots, so we decided to get it for Christmas. It's this black suede jacket with silver hardware by C&A. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find it in the online shop but as I only got it one week ago and they had multiple ones in black, cognac-coloured ones and bright red ones, I have high hopes that there are still some left in the stores. Can't wait to be able to wear it when it's a bit warmer again in spring or as piece to put on when spending time somewhere inside.

My musical favourite in November was the album Joanne by Lady Gaga. I can't say, I have been a fan of the first minute but I have huge respect for her ability to show multiple facets music-wise. This album does not sound like anything she brought out before and I really like it. I've also posted my latest Song of the Week about her, in case you're interested in reading that as well.

This month's new discovery YouTube-wise for me is Cydnee Black. She has a beauty channel and I have to say I'm quite picky with the 'beauty gurus' that I subscribe to and I don't add new ones on the regular, but she seems like a really nice person and I like her taste of makeup loads. Also, what a beauty is she!? You can check her out here!

Another beauty item that I have rediscovered over the past month is the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107. I know lots of YouTubers who have this and always pull it out of their massive makeup collection drawers when autumn and winter come round again because this deep burgundy red shade is perfect for this time of year. Paired with only a winged liner, a neutral eye or even a rusty orange eye look (which I tested out recently), it's the perfect match and can transform your whole look into full glam.

Lastly, I thought, as I spend quite a lot of time on Instagram, I would recommend a profile that I love in each coming favourites posts. The first one is called a_ontheroad and is run by a guy called Alex. He posts the loveliest high quality photos of mostly Notting Hill, London, but also other places in London and other cities like Paris or Prague from time to time. Also, I really like his photo descriptions. I don't think, I have to say more. Just look at that feed, it says it all. #inlovewithcityscapes
(If you want to drop by my Instagram, that would be amazing too!)

What did you love in November?
